Art Attack!

NorteyPitcher, are the couple behind Art Sippers and

They believe that by taking the #ARTSIPPERSCHALLENGE and through the process of creating ART, people gain the self-confidence and the courage needed to break free from ‘fear of failure’ and other people’s judgement. Empowering individuals to begin enjoying the full richness of the human experience.

Described as ‘confidence coaches’, (which most people don’t realise) similar to a personal trainer, we chatted with one of the founders, Elliot who answered our questions and explained all about Art Sippers (which is also our first video interview with an indie brand).

NorteyPitcher, the couple behind Art Sippers

Off to a flying art

Based in London, UK, Art Sippers has been showcasing its positivity for almost 4 years, where during lockdown it went to the next level by providing free sessions online.

During this short space of time, Elliot’s favourite aspect for Art Sippers has been the proud transformation and limiting belief of users at the start, hearing things such as ‘I can’t paint’, ‘I’m not a creative person’, then to that ‘innate ability to learn and innate ability to get better’. Working with his missus and being together for 10 years is also his fav aspect, figuring and focusing on their specific skills and crazy dynamic, from who does what from the branding, copy-writing, which has been an eye-opener to what skills they have while in the process giving each other support, if one of them is not as good at something within the business. Teamwork makes the dream work.

Loose Women to Salesforce

Those free lockdown events caught the attention of a couple UK celebrities. Before that, in Elliot’s words they were struggling, it eventually snowballed to private events and Zooms where one of them was Katie Piper. By sliding into Art Sippers DM’s this led to a private party hosting for her, her husband and family. This ultimately led to a shout out on UK TV on Loose Women and got the ball rolling. A match made in heaven for Art Sippers with their synergy. Another celeb endorsement was from Louis Theroux via a Salesforce event, where they painted him and the Salesforce’s mascot - a surreal experience as Elliot described it with Louis having lots of ‘bants’. A nice bucket list of people working with them within 2 years.

Elliot’s previous experience working in events allowed him to build on from this, he shares his best methods for promotion - word of mouth, growing organically, all with a limited spend for their budget. Savvy and smart.

Leonardo Picasso

A fun question we were to keen to ask was, ‘who would be your favourite artist(s) (dead or alive) you'd want to participate on Art Sippers and why?’ Elliot gave us two answers. As their slogan is ‘Zero to Picasso in 120 minutes’ it makes sense Pablo Picasso would be a vote with his perspective to ‘think differently’ (like Apple’s slogan) with fine art and Cubism. Secondly, Leonardo Da Vinci, who created the Mona Lisa and combined art and science. Elliot mentions he’d be ‘gassed’ to have them working face to face. A dream collaboration.

Art Sippers wouldn’t be where it is without a community. The ‘Sippers Society’, also known as the ‘Good Vibe Tribe’ is thriving online with over 400+ members on Facebook Groups and monthly paid memberships on the website. Knowing them on a first name basis, from this, the most useful feedback Elliot’s received from them has been simply, ‘keep being authentic’. This has helped with people’s mental health during the lockdown along with seeing them as a family. The monthly paid service involves access to live shows, discounts and free goodies. Check it out if you haven’t.

The most pleasing feeling for Elliot with Art Sippers has been ‘building something good’ with his partner, with both of them initially being insecure being on camera, with his top tip to ‘keep doing the reps daily’, along with staying positive during issues involving COVID and ‘heating and not eating’.

Positive mental attitude

During our video-call Elliot was in his office, at home. He explained that a typical day usually involves a healthy start, going to the gym (5 days a week), afterwards strategising for Art Sippers from content, branding and admin - all these tasks including the missus. The end of the day usually involves playing FIFA to wind down, or a nice couple’s walk, awwww 😍

What’s next for Art Sippers? Elliot reveals many plans - from brand awareness to virtual corporate gifting. The duo of ‘NorteyPitcher’ to become global and a lifestyle brand. Elliot further mentions to ‘connect with more people’, with ‘pure and honest relationships’. Some useful tips there and advice for us to all follow. The final words for IndieBloom - ‘keep going’ while also giving us our flowers 💐

Art Sippers provides the perfect occasion to get drawing, socailise, learn a new skill and drink. Get out of your comfort zone. All the major social channels are covered - so if Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube or LinkedIn is your fav, give them a follow! With Linktree showcasing them all.

Many thanks to Elliot and Art Sippers for bringing that bit more positivity to the world.

Then also watch the full 26 minute bonus video interview we had on our exclusive Patreon, where we chatted about everything from places in London to swimming. There’s the odd hit on video quality due to internet connection issues and nerves at certain points 🙈 but as mentioned ‘keep doing the reps daily’.
